Kilteel is a small village in the Eastern
Uplands of
County Kildare. The Village is located 1 Mile inside County Kildare bordering on
Counties Dublin and Wicklow. The Parish of Kilteel contains the highest point in
Co.Kildare which is at Cupidstown Hill. The Hill summits at around 1300ft. The
village itself is at about 600ft and whole area offers scenic views of the
Central Plains of Ireland. Contained within the village are several sites
of Historical interest. These include a 13th Century Castle, Monastic
ruins,Church, graveyard and Stone Cross.
